Indocopters Private Limited (ICPL), CAR 147 (Basic) in collaboration with Jamia Millia Islamia offers a comprehensive 3-year dual course program:
1) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering by ICPL, CAR 147 (Basic) approved by DGCA

This program meets the ab-initio training requirements for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in the B2 (Avionics) and B1.3 (Helicopter Turbine) license categories under CAR 147 (Basic). It prepares students for the DGCA’s basic AME licensing examinations, providing hands-on experience in a CAR 145-approved maintenance organization with a focus on helicopter maintenance procedures. The faculty comprises experienced engineers and industry professionals with expertise in aircraft maintenance, engineering management, and material management. The curriculum emphasizes a deep understanding of aircraft systems, skill development, and best maintenance practices. The program is structured into five semesters over two and a half years, combining theoretical knowledge with practical training. On successful completion of theoretical and practical training students are awarded by certificate of Recognition.

2) Degree in B.Sc. Aeronautics (Avionics or Mechanical Stream) awarded by Jamia Millia Islamia

This three-year undergraduate program offers a solid foundation in aviation, preparing students for advanced studies and leadership roles in the industry. Graduates will be well-equipped for careers in aircraft maintenance engineering, with the potential to obtain a DGCA license. As India’s aviation sector rapidly expands, driven by policies like open skies, the demand for skilled professionals across all aviation domains, including airplanes, helicopters, and related services, continues to rise.

Admission Procedure

The entire admission process, including induction and other formalities, is managed by Jamia Millia Islamia. The key features of the admission process are outlined below:

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board or university, or an equivalent qualification.

Medical Status: Candidates must be medically fit and free from physical disabilities, color blindness, and night blindness.

Foreign Students: Foreign students must obtain the necessary security clearance through DGCA to be eligible for admission.

Selection Procedure: Admission is based on merit, determined by a two-hour Entrance Test consisting of multiple-choice questions. The University's reservation policy applies.

Induction of Students: In 2024, 60 students will be admitted—30 in the B1.3 category and 30 in the B2 category, in line with DGCA approval limits.

Admission Formalities: In addition to academic and reservation certificates, a medical fitness certificate is required, specifically stating that the candidate does not have color blindness or night blindness.
